What to expect when visiting Amsterdam
The age old practice of prostitution was legalised in Holland in October 2000 however Amsterdam is long known for it's tolerance towards prostitution but have always enforced clear rules regulations.
Government regulations control the conditions of the meeting place and the general operation of brothels and related businesses to regulate prostitution. All brothel organisations must apply for and be awarded a certificate of compliance stating that they meet with the necessary legal requirements.
The prostitutes in Amsterdam are generally clean, respectful and sometimes lovely.
